N-LITER Pledges
Support for Education in Canada N-Litened Education program launched to improve how we use technology to learn
TORONTO, October 27, 2003 -- N-LITER
Inc. (http://www.enlighter.com) today pledged its support for education by
announcing the “N-Litened Education” program.
With the new program, 10% of all revenues generated from sales of
N-LITER Golden Retriever to schools and libraries will be dedicated to
the research and development of new technological solutions specifically
for education. N-LITER Golden Retriever, an online tool that retrieves and photocopies information, helps students collect and organise online research so they can use it later, on or off-line. The product is designed to be fun and easy to use, and students have picked it up as easily as throwing a stick since its launch in September 2003. The N-Litened Education program plans to establish a panel of educational experts, teachers, and students from across Canada to collaborate on areas where technology can be used to improve the educational process, in and out of the classroom. “Nowadays,
the Web is becoming a primary information resource for students around
the world,” states Bill Coleman, Director of Marketing for N-LITER.
“The N-Litened Education program is designed to support the
development of new, fun, and creative technological solutions for
students and teachers. Canada
has a wonderful history of ground-breaking developments and invention
and, as a Canadian company, we want to do our part to maintain that
entrepreneurial spirit.” Students from grade 3 through university are already using N-LITER Golden Retriever. According to David Suchanek, a civics teacher at Appleby College in Oakville, Ontario, “N-LITER is easy to use and actually makes presentations on our whiteboards better. A number of students use the software and it has helped organize them. I would like to see more students use it in the future.” About N-LITER Inc. Source: N-LITER Inc. |
