Yahoo! MSN and Google Searches Finally Saved N-LITER vows to stop "Search Rage" TORONTO, May 13, 2003 -- Today, N-LITER (http://www.enlighter.com) announced the launch of N-LITER Version 1.2, aimed at stopping "Search Rage". New features include a Quick Search tool that consolidates searches on all major search engines; a new Search History that remembers the "what", "where" and "when" of previous searches made (regardless of search engine used); and enhanced notes features that enable web links in users’ notes. N-LITER
is a personal archive for users’ important web pages and notes. It
saves the entire Web page and any data added by users onto their hard
drive ensuring the ability to find things again even if it has been
modified, moved, consolidated or deleted.
N-LITER Personal Archives solve the growing phenomenon known as
"Search Rage", that occurs when users have to hunt for
information they have found before. The
latest feature, N-LITER Quick Search, gives users access to all major
search engines in one handy toolbar.
Now users do not have to install multiple toolbars, as is the
case with Yahoo! and Google’s search toolbars.
Also, search engines tend to specialize their content to
differing niches and users often have to use 3-4 different engines
before finding all relevant information. With quick search, users can easily perform searches on
multiple engines ensuring they find what they need.
N-LITER then archives this data, simplifying the time and strain
in searching for things again. “Search
rage is a growing concern with many internet users,” according to
Bernardo Sanchez, President of N-LITER. “The amount of online
information doubles every 2-3 years, and Web sites constantly change
information. We want to
make finding information easier, so that researching online can become a
more pleasant experience.”
