St. John's Church in Piran (cerkev Sv. Jurija) is perhaps the most prominent landmark on the whole Slovenian coast. It sits on a hill overlooking the city of Piran. We wanted to give the church a monumental yet calm and reassuring impression during night-time. The lighting scheme presents a contrast to the chaotic night-time image of the city and accentuates the architectural features of the church.
