Installation Instructions:


enLighter Retriever requires Windows 98, ME, NT 4.0 (SP4 or later), 2000, or XP to run.

Microsoft's Internet Explorer (IE) version 6.0 or higher is also required.

After you have downloaded enLighter Retriever, run the self-extracting executable file and follow the on-screen instructions.

Upgrade Instructions:


This section describes how to upgrade enLighter Retriever to a newer version (this includes the enLighter Study Suite product).  This section assumes that you already have installed enLighter Retriever (or Study Suite) on your system.

Download the new version of enLighter Retriever, run the self-extracting executable file and follow the on-screen instructions. This installation process will not affect any documents that you have already annotated.

Download Problems:


If you are experiencing slow transfer rates, the problem could be anywhere on the Internet between our server and your PC. Before reporting problems to us, please first check where they are occurring, as follows:

  1. Start a Command (DOS) prompt. (Start/Programs/Accessories/Command Prompt).
  2. Type the following: "tracert www.enlighter.com" and look for timeouts.
  3. If you see errors, please send them to support@enlighter.com.
